This doesn’t happen often, but sometimes on a very very rare occasion, I’m not feeling hungry for a normal sized meal. Shocking, I know..
This has been happening a lot more recently which I’m sure you know because I’ve been boring you all with it, but as I’ve been struggling with digesting my food, big meals make it even more difficult.
Sometimes I wake up not hungry in the slightest and this can last for hours, then all of a sudden I want to eat everything in sight, which then makes my stomach balloon like I’m 6 months preggo and I might as well be giving birth considering the pain I’m in when this happens! It’s so frustrating and I’m still trying to find a solution.
I have got some tips and tricks but I’ll do that in a separate post, but for now, here’s a quick recipe for a smoothie when you fancy a snack but want something thats easy to digest, filling and a balance between protein and carbs, as well as providing you with all the essential vitamins and nutrients.
Ingredients (Ill put approximate measurements but you can use however much you want. A handful of each would be perfect to make sure it’s not overpowered by the veggies/ tastes sweet enough).
- 1 Apple (approx 120g)
- 20-40g Spinach
- 85g Broccoli
- 100ml Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 20g Protein Powder (here I used Innermost)
- 50g Fage Greek Yogurt
- 1tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar (amazing for digestion)
- Peanut Butter
- Manuka Honey
I did another smoothie with the above including manuka honey and courgette and it was just as delicious. Lots of combos you can try!
